We would love to support the people in the countries of origin by roasting the coffee locally and thus enabling them to benefit more from the coffee refinement process. Unfortunately this is not feasible. Fresh roasting is one of the most important criteria for the optimal taste of your coffee and the transport of roasted beans from countries such as Ethiopia to Germany takes about 3 months by sea. So we would be unable to guarantee high taste quality. The alternative method of transport, air freight, is not a viable option for ecological and logistical reasons.
We pay a fair purchase price for the green coffee and provide additional support to the local people by donating one euro per kilogram of coffee sold to social projects in the vicinity of the coffee farmers. We spend 100% of these funds on project implementation.
